Mount Tangkuban Parahu is one of the volcanoes are still active on the island of Java. It has the largest crater named Queen Crater followed Upas Crater that is located adjacent to each other. Queen Crater itself into one of the main objects of Mount Tangkuban Parahu. Size and depth of this crater is amazing with crater’s wall that resembles a large bowl.

With a height of 1820 meters at the location above sea level, Mount Tangkuban Parahu has cold air throughout the day with fog, especially in the rainy season. Forests in the valley east and north into the top is a very beautiful panorama and different from other places.

Mount Tangkuban Parahu name itself comes from the sundanese Tangkuban means reversed and Parahu means Boat. So Tangkuban Parahu means boat upside down, meaning that if the mountain is seen from the city of Bandung it will look like a boat overturned. The form is similar to the boat upside down is what made the story of the famous legend Sangkuriang today. Legend has it that attempts Sangkuriang marry his own mother, named Dayang Sumbi. The mother who finally knows Sangkuriang is his son and refused Sangkuriang married her. Dayang Sumbi also asked made lake and the boat overnight. Long story short, Sangkuriang efforts made lake and the boat failed, then the anger kicked up to the boat upside down and turned into Tangkuban Parahu.

Besides natural panorama and craters, in tourist areas of Mount Tangkuban Parahu too many traders and stalls selling food and beverages as well as a unique souvenir. Food is typical in Mount Tangkuban Parahu is Ulen (sticky rice) which was burned and spread with peanut sauce. Spicy taste of peanut flavor plus heat after burning makes Ulen provides its own pleasures. Souvenirs are sold in this region is very diverse and unique, ranging from clothes, plants (bonsai and cactus) to crafts such as ornaments Kujang and Natural Stone.

Mont Tangkuban Parahu tourism object can be taken 30 km from Bandung to Lembang. When you arrived at Lembang, continue your journey toward the direction of Subang. There are two entrances to the Tangkuban Parahu, first entrance in Subang area and second entrance are in Cikole (West Bandung Regency). Recommended in through the first entrance because the condition road to the Queen Crater better than the second entrance . From here the journey continues as far as approximately 4 km to the main object of the Queen Crater.

White crater is one of the famous natural sights enough. The crater of Mount Patuha which has long been non-active has a wonderful charm. White sand with green sulphur provide a different view from the other tourism object.

Natural conditions are still maintained its make White Crater for prawedding shooting location. The crater was formed by the eruption of Mount Patuha in X and XII centuries ago. Mount Patuha, or often called by people Mount Sepuh (Old Man), has a height of 2434 meters above sea level, with an average temperature of 8 to 22 degrees Celsius.

White crater can be achieved by using private vehicles as far as 46 km to the south of Bandung. The nearest tollroad is Kopo. The journey will pass Soreang, then entered Ciwidey area. Through the long teminal Ciwidey, areas start-dominated by pine forest plantations. White Crater gate on the left side of the road, after paying the administration, visitors can go on again. This time the road began to narrow and uphill. Shade trees and the cold air will begin to greet every visitor. Having reached the parking area, the journey continues on foot to the location of the crater. Once down the stairs, the sight of the White crater will start looking.

At some point very stinging smell of sulfur (at about 5 meters deep cave former sulfur mine), it is recommended to immediately leave the area to avoid sulfur poisoning. If you want to get a picture angle and a different light, try to come early at around 06.00 am and walked toward the wall of the crater to the south.

Once the people considered the White crater as a haunted area because many birds die when flying over the crater. Not to mention the mystical tales of the royal dwelling place of spirits and ancestral spirits. Finally, in 1837 a Dutch-German scientist Dr. Franz Wilhelm Junghun doing research and finding answers is not awesomeness other White crater caused by the blast of the strong smell of sulfur lava. But it does not necessarily make people interested in making the White crater as tourism object, then in 1987 this area tourist attraction made by PT. Perhutani.

There are several species of flora and fauna in the area of the White crater, some can be seen instantly around the crater like Cantigi and Vaccinium (Flora) and the Eagles and the Monkey (Fauna).

Cibolang known as ecotourism that provides hot water bath and Saung (cottage) dining eateries. Mountain air and the tea plantations around Cibolang added attraction of this tourist object. Fairly remote location, located at the foot of Mount Wayang where the mountain is a source of hot water.

To achieve Cibolang from Bandung, visitors will travel a distance of about 48 km to the Pangalengan.

When using the tollroad, exit at the door Moh. Toha or Buah Batu then continue the journey toward Banjaran. There is a junction after passing through the Square and Market of Banjaran, choose to Pangalengan (turn left). Having started entering the District of Pangalengan City, there is a junction again, point your vehicle to the left toward City Center of District Pangalengan. Continue the journey through the city center to arrive at 'Door Junction', select the direction of the left. The tea plantations atmosphere will accompany your trip to Cibolang from Door Junction. Approximately 2.5 km far from Door Junction, there are Cibolang signpost that requires your vehicle to turn left into the streets surrounding houses. Condition of gravel roads begin, go on trips less than 500 meters to reach the entrance of Cibolang.

Cibolang ecotourism provides small and large Saung (cottage). Usually large group occupy a Saung in the middle of the pond for a large size. You can enjoy your lunch at this saung, while enjoying the scenery around Cibolang is so beautiful and cool. Also you can soak in the hot tub with a view to the forest slopes of Mount Wayang. If you want a different atmosphere, try to come at night to Cibolang. The temperature will feel very cold at night, but once you soak your body in the pool, warm feeling as though your body relaxes after a trip to Cibolang. But not every night, just at night like a Saturday-off Sunday. Not only the hot water pool, Cibolang also provides rooms for visitors who soak wanted privacy.
